Fail

I've Failed. Twice. At least, two times so far this year that matter at the moment.

Failure No. 1: Blog twice a week. Just missed that by a bit. =P But, to have 100 posts put on here this year, I can miss four total. So now I can only miss 3. Bummer.

Failure No. 2: I had planned to start a new series on here. Once a month I'd dive into my (somewhat limited) wardrobe and paste together a very---unique---outfit that might actually look good. And, obviously, I missed the first month. It's to try and show mixes of styles that people don't usually think of.
So, to rectify that failure, I'm going to post the January one on here. If it goes really well, I'll try to do this once a month. If it goes okay, I'll post pictures of my nutty outfits every other month. And, if no one likes it, I'll drop the idea for a while. Okay? Okay. (Oh, and I could use some help with the naming-thing, if you have any ideas...)

Introducing my first "Crazy-Yet-Still-Works" Fashion Post!
It's a new series I'm trying this year, where I dive into my wardrobe and paste together a very weird strange unique outfit that might actually look good. Joining me on this venture will (eventually) be my friend, HMS Avalon.

This month's outfit is modeled by me. I have on a brown thermal fashion hoodie from St. John's Bay that I bought at JC Penny's.

Over that I put a baby doll top, meant to be worn over a tank top in the Summer. (But, if I wore it that way, this post would be boring.)

I accessorised with a hot pink sash, as there is some pink in the shirt. I think the sash is a bit bright, compared with the rest, but it's what I had.

My earrings are from Candie's.

Levi Strauss (self-distressed by many years of love) jeans, Payless shoes.

I know, the pictures aren't all that great, but all I had to work with was a chair, a table, a chair on the table, and my camera's timer setting. Next time I hope to have a professional photographer (aka "Sis" ;).

Now it's time to rate the post. Go to the poll on my sidebar and let me know what you think!

Wow, I could never do something like this on my blog. Very brave of you, Kiwi! You go, girl! :D

As far as I can tell from the pictures, the outfits great! Definitely different, but it works. The only problem I saw was the (warning: constructive critisism coming in for a landing) conflicting necklines of the sweater and baby doll top. I thought that looked a little awkward.

I can so see striped socks in that picture of your shoes. It begs for some stripes.

I really like the bright sash. It doesn't make me go "Oh my! looooove!" but it does make me go "love!" I am a fan of bright, contrasting/identical colors paired with not-so-bright colors.

Okay. That bit at the end about colors makes sense. I mean I like colors on opposite ends of the colorwheel together, I also like, say, a multicolored thing paired with something that is the exact same color as one of the colors in the multicolored thing. Sort of.

Ha, that's awesome! But you shouldn't post your clothes on your blog because then I'd know what to steal.

Just kidding about the last part...

Anyhoo the outfit looks totally snaze!

I've been meaning to update my wardrobe (I got new boots last week), so this is great for ideas, since we're sort of the same body type. (Yeah, I know, you're skinnier!)

Also, I just wanted you to know that I updated my blog JUST FOR YOU!

Not that you're the only person who reads it or anything...
