Fantastically Fabulous Blog Giveaway!

The blog Flip Flops and Polka Dots is doing a big ol' giveaway with 14 really neat things (Lotsa jewelry!). Some day I want to do a giveaway, but I'm not sure how well it'd go off. I mean, I have how many regular readers? Not many.
PhotobucketBut anyway, she is doing one, and it's really cool, and technically I should say that you should go over and enter, only I don't quite want you to because it lowers my chances of winning! ;D At least go over and look at her blog.
<----That is her giveaway button. Clicking it will take you to her giveaway blogpost.

Photobucket

Now, on the other side of this post, I have her actual blog button. ---->
That'll take you straight to her whole blog.

So yep! Next post'll be about our looooooooong trip down to IA to surprise some friends of ours! Twas a blast. =)

P.S. You may be amused by my last post, too. Go check check it out, the view you'll get....

a tag from Judi

1. Leave me a comment saying, “Interview me.” Please include your blog address unless I already have it.

2. I will respond by commenting on your blog with five questions. I get to pick the questions.

3. You will update your blog/website/whatever with the answers to the questions.

4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.

5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

Here are my interview questions from Judi:
1: If you could choose any place in the world to live, where would it be?
Well, if I could move all my friends there with me, Tennessee would be nice. Or maybe a bit further south. But if all my friends would have to stay behind, I'll just stay here. :)

2: Favorite animated movie of all time?
The Incredibles or Ratatouille. Or maybe Finding Nemo. I think those are my top three in that order.

3: Can you play an instrument, if so, what kind??
Nope.

4: Who and what inspired you to first start blogging??
My good friend Dagmar got a blog a little over a year ago, which drew my attention to blogging. (Oh, speaking of you, Dagmar.....post again!!)

5: If you could interview one famous person/group, who would it be and why??
If I have ever heard an unfair question in my life, and I've heard plenty, this one must be the least fair of all! Which ONE, indeed! Ummmmm.....of the famous people I can think of, I guess Daniel Kirkley or Jason Gray. I've met both of them before, but, of course, forgot all the important questions I should have asked. :P Group? Newsboys or Downhere would be my top two picks.

Anyone want to be interviewed?

Family Reunion, part 1.

We have a family reunion in Iowa this Saturday. I sure hope there’s good weather for it! The main event will be at a park. We’re taking our portable volleyball net, and a volleyball. (Yay! We’re finally getting our own volleyball! Now I won’t have to keep borrowing Short Stuff’s.) Perhaps roller blades shall accompany Rapunzel and me.
I’ll finally get to meet some baby second cousins! That will keep us occupied, I hope.
I wonder if *coughcough* the cousin closest to me in age *cough* will be there? If she isn’t, I won’t hold it against her, but it would be nice to know… *cough* Perchance she could bring some pictures from her wedding? She was going to show them to us a few months ago, but forgot them.

I wish we had known that we wouldn’t get to go on vacation a few weeks back. Then, Dad could have taken this week off, and we could have gone down and visited Dagmar and Matt’s family. *sigh* I wish I could see the future sometimes.
Love y’all!

Okay, okay!
Owan is mad at me for not mentioning that she, two of her sisters, and a guy from church were in a car accident on the 15th. So: Owan and her sisters and a guy from church were in a car accident on the 15th. This 'repaired' computer won't let me put a nice link on, so here is an ugly link to Owan's first post about it: http://oh-wan.blogspot.com/2009/04/war-wounds-census.html here's an ugly link to her second post about it: http://oh-wan.blogspot.com/2009/04/life.html and here is an ugly link to her third post: http://oh-wan.blogspot.com/2009/04/first-there-was-nothing-then-it.html
Everybody (except Scott's car) is pretty much okay. One of Owan's sisters broke her shoulder, but now she seems alright. It's kinda nasty, actually. She enjoys showing where the wires that are holding her bones together are nearly poking through the skin. Ick.

And Dagmar is mad at me for not mentioning that I talked to her two Sundays ago. Which was a highlight of the week, I was just running out of room. We talked for quite a while. And then at the end, we decided that Dagmar would email me twice daily all week long, and then I'd do it the next week. It was fun seeing her emails get progressively emptier and emptier as she struggled for things to say. Alas, since Angus was gone most of last week I didn't get to email her, but starting Sunday..... heh heh heh. >:D

Last night Rapunzel and I went out with some of the other young adults from church to see X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Wow. It was quite intense (up to last night, the most intense movie I'd seen all the way through was LOTR), quite a few fight scenes, one or two creep characters. I wouldn't recommend going to see it, but it wasn't all that bad in most parts. Although when they replaced his bones with metal (cool!) and he broke out of the tank and ran off......*shakes head and sighs.*
And then, on the way back, I had a 'horrid' thought. "Rapunzel, if anything were to drop on the roof right now, I'd scream." "KIWI!!! WHY did you have to say that?!?!" Actually it would have been the perfect time to sneak up behind us and freak us out. I'm so glad that no one did!

Hopefully this makes Owan and Dagmar happy! Be sure and look at yesterdays post.

Discussion Question: Why is there a dollar sign at the top of the keyboard, but no cent sign?
