New Background

I decided it was time for a change in backgrounds. I got bored with the other one. It was too wintery. Why should I have a winter template during winter? It just reminds me how cold and dreary it is outside. (okay, it's not all that dreary, it's actually quite sunny, but cold, yes!) In the winter, one should have a Spring or Summer template to help one remember how warm it used to be, and how warm it will be again. Having a cold-paletted Winter background just increases one's awareness as to how cold it is, whereas warmer colors help cheer and warm one up! Come Summer, I might stick a cold, snowy picture on here to cool you down.

I had all these quotes from books I've read recently to show y'all, but left my notebook with the quotes in it at home. (I'm at the library. And yes, I'm just that lazy!) =P So that'll be my next post on here: book quotes! Perhaps I'll have y'all try to guess what book each quote is from...make it into a contest.

132 Kleenexes........in 36 Hours

I have a cold. I reeeeaaally don't like colds. I have used up one entire box of Kleenexes in one and a half days.
132 Kleenexes times approximately two nose-blows per Kleenex equals 264 nose-blows, plus numerous uncounted Kleenexes.....times 60 hours of having this cold, minus (a measly) 11 1/2 hours of sleep, plus 6 cups of tea since Sunday evening equals one tired, crabby, unhappy, SICK Kiwi. :(

On to something more of general interest:
um.....I got nothing to say.

"you got something to say
If you're living
If you're breathing
You got something to say
And no one can say it like you do
God is love and love speaks through you
You got it, you got it,
You got something to say"

Sorry, Matthew West, you're wrong. Yes, I'm living, yes, I'm breathing, but I got nothin' to say.

Except.......Three more days until the concert!!!! I'm happeh. *grins ear-to-ear and does a little happeh dance*
Three-ee-ee
Mo-ar
Da-a-ays!

Daddy went and picked up my tickets last week. The people who printed the tickets are wet blankets!! "No cameras/video recorders" AAAARRRGH! No CAMERA?!?!? how unfair. I think that means "no taking pictures during the concert," which could be interpreted as "you can bring your camera as long as you don't take pictures or videos while the dude is singing," and if that is the case, I'm okay with it. Because I have to take my camera! What if I meet somebody? Am I to say "Well, sir, I would ask if I could get a picture of us, but I wasn't allowed to bring a camera, so will you hold still while I sketch the picture really quick? Won't take me more than fifteen minutes...Could you turn your head a little more this way, please?" Riiight.

We'll see. :)

In the mean time, I'll be banging my head against a brick wall, trying to knock myself out so I can get some snooze time!

Long Time No Write!

I guess it hasn't been terribly long since I last posted, just quite a while. I don't really have much of anything to say, except that I bought a kiwifruit so I can paint a picture of it and but it up here as my profile picture. It was at Walmart for $0.35.
Has anyone else noticed (Besides Dagmar and me. We've had this conversation before.) that at the top of the keyboard, with all the symbols and stuff, that there is a dollar sign, but no cent sign? I know it's rather random, but there isn't any! And there should be. Now I have to go to all the trouble of typing five keys when I could just press three. Awful, I tell you!
Anyway, that'll be popping up here someday soon. Kiwi's are expensive! $0.35 for a little-itty-bitty fruit that can be eaten in a few bites!

Rapunzel and I are pretty excited about what we're doing on Thursday. Our senior high youth group is going to Adventureland on Thursday!! We're both sooo excited about it, since it'll be our first theme-park experience. We've been to county fairs before, but never on a roller coaster. I take that back. I remember years and years ago (I was probably about six or seven) being on a little one with cars shaped like an alligator. But that didn't go fast, and it's a dim memory from a long time ago. I can't wait! We've got to pick up our friends and get to the church before 6:45, we leave at 7:00, and get there around 10:00 when the gates open. And then we don't get back to the church 'til about 12:00 on Friday morning. The only part I don't look forward to is the 'getting up in time to leave the house before six-thirty' part. But I'm sure the trip will make up for that.
Well, Mom gave me about five more minutes on the computer ("Why are you on the computer again?" Mom asked.
"I'm posting. On my blog." I said, just wanting to go back in and finish.
"I though you already did that!"
"I didn't get it finished. You called me away before I was done."
"You have five minutes." She held up five fingers.
"I can't get it done in five minutes! I'm right in the middle of something." I replied indignantly
"Fifteen minutes then. Be sure to get off then." She relented.
*Sigh*), so I should get off now. I used up ten of the minutes typing most of this up.
I'll probably post again on Friday, after we go to *excited scream* Adventureland.

P.S. I'm getting a cold. In July! How awful is that? It's just in my throat, making my voice hoarse.

P.P.S. "I'm going on a trip from city to city/You wanna come along/You wanna come along/It's nothing that they're gonna show on the TV/Ya wanna come along/Ya wanna come along" I'm listening to music. Any guesses as to what group I'm listening to? Hint: The title of the song is "City to City" and it's off their latest album.
