Cubs Game this Friday!!!/Updated on Friday

I'm excited about the Cubs/Brewers game on Friday! Unfortunately, it won't matter that much to the Cubs team, but it's also kinda good. It means that the Cubbies are going to the Play-offs! I'm really happy about that! My dream for this year? One of them, at least, is that the Chicago Cubs go to the world series. And then sweep the other team. All you non-Cubs fans: DO NOT BURST MY HAPPY LITTLE DREAM-BUBBLE!! This is our year! So, I'm looking forward to it. Asdef and I are making pillow case signs to hold up between innings and when the Cubs win. After the game we plan to give them to our Cubs-fan Grandpa to add to his Cubs collection. I'll give more details on what they look like once we get them finished. I will be the medium-height girl wearing a Cubs tee-shirt with 'Soriano 12' on the back. I'll also probably be wearing a red paisley bandanna and a big grin on my face. (:^D) Look our for us!
Lets see... Oh, an update on Operation Post-It:

Our efforts were not in vain. We were successful! HSM Avalon has posted a total of TWO times since we started our comment blitz. The comment count went up to 83, thanks to a lot of great post-ers! Now, Miss Avalon has posted a way to have a very popular blog. Y'all'll have to check it out. She also, miracle of miracles, added onto her story!!!!! Congratulations, fellow post-ers! Now we may have to turn this on Catfreak 70 soon, if she doesn't update. Don't tell her, Avalon, we'll just let her alone for a few more days, then start in on her. >:-D (that's an devious little evil grin, for those of you who don't recognize it)
I think that this Comment-Blitz could become a very useful tool. Also, Judi, we need to keep in mind your friend 'Jonno', who hasn't posted in a while, either.

I need to end this now if I want it posted tonight. I'll write more tomorrow, if possible. Don't forget to watch the Cubs/Brewers game on Friday @ 7:00 pm central time!

UPDATE--FRIDAY MORNING:
Okay, now it's Friday morning, seven hours, thirty-four minutes left until the game starts. Here's a description of my poster: on one side is "KIWI is HERE!" with a big red arrow pointing down underneath it. To the left side (right to anybody watching) is the Cubs logo in blue and red. On the other side will be "CUBS ROCK MY WORLD". Let me know if you see me! Asdef is working on one that says "GO CUBS GO! 1st CUBS GAME!!!" On the other side he's putting a big blue 'W', I think.
After the game, Mom, Dad, and the boyz will be coming home while Rapunzel and I go with our aunt and uncle. We're going to cruise Milwaukee all Saturday before coming home that night.

I can't wait 'til tonight!! Don't forget: Blue Cubs shirt w/ Soriano 12 on the back, jeans, red bandanna, big sign saying 'KIWI is HERE" or "CUBS ROCK MY WORLD". That's me.

We is Moved!!!

We are now settling in inside of the Cheddar Curtain! I'm so excited and can't wait to post pictures of my room! I didn't end up with the ittsy-bittsy room, like was the original plan, thank goodness! It is a lot smaller (the other room) than I had remembered--about 8"x11". Instead, I am living in a much larger room that is slightly minty-green. The new house has dark original wood work with glass doorknobs and most of the original light fixtures. It was built in the 1920's or 30's and is very square, with a little closed-in porch on front and a small mud room on the back. The house faces east with the garage on the north side, just a little further back from the road than the house. Behind (west of) the house is an empty lot, then a newer neighborhood with a small park.
On Monday we headed off early. Dad woke me up at about quarter past four in the morning, and I hurriedly changed, gathered my things together, and we left at five oh two a.m. Isn't that time awful? We drove for not quite half an hour to the friend's house where we left the truck. Then we tried to avoid little kitties who enjoyed sitting in front of the wheels of cars. We managed to not hit any. Then Rapunzel and I drove in the Astro, following Mom in the Maliblue, following Dad in the U-haul. Alllllll the way up to Cheddarland. About three hours. It was a long drive up there. Mom said at first "NO RADIO!" because it would distract Rapunzel. But for the last half-hour/forty-five minutes we listened to my Go cd, after begging Mom to allow us to. We had a cell phone in each car, so we could keep in touch. Anyway, we made it up here without trouble, did the final walk through of the house at eight-thirty, signed papers at ten, and owned the house by eleven. Busy, huh? But we weren't done yet. We still had to un-load the HUGE moving van. We started cleaning house right after our early lunch (actually my very late breakfast) because the previous owners had a cat. It shed all over the place! Even in the freezer! It took a lot of sweeping to get it decent. Several people from our new church came over and helped us move in, including my Bloggy Buddy Owan.
Yesterday we went back down and got a smaller truck load from storage and a friend's barn. (Hey Avalon! Did you get the note I left on your counter?) We're back home now, watching The Bourne Supremecy on TBS. It's interesting. Mom wants us to go to bed, but I think Dad'll let us watch the rest of the movie.
The first thing I unpacked on Monday was my paint supplies. There's space in my room for my paint table! And I can stay up later than usual because it doesn't affect anyone else. On Tuesday night, I stayed up until ten-thirty (instead of my usual enforced lights-out by nine-thirty) catagorizing my paint and deciding what I need more of. Part of yesterday and today I designed this year's Christmas card. It's all designed in my ideas notebook, all I need to do now is do the actual painting, scan it onto the computer, and design the inside of the card. My brain is working on next year's card already, although Mom says maybe we won't use it next year because it's so similar to this and last years' cards. So I came up with a fourth.
Judi tagged me the other day, but because of the length of this post, I'll fill it out tomorrow or day after.

Operation Post-It Update:
The latest count is sixty-six (66) comments. We're doin' good, peeps! I even left a note for Avalon while I was at her house picking up boxes, mentioning that she hasn't been on her blog in a while. She would have gotten it about five and a half hours ago, but there is still no new post. After I finish this, I'll go add a few comments, bringing it up to seventy. There have been quite a few clever comments on there! Maybe I'll do a 'Kommander Kiwifruit's Klever Komment Award' for those of you who came up with the wittiest words.

I need to get off now. The movie is ending, which means I'll have to go to bed soon. I will post with pictures of our new house as soon as possible.

TTFN!

P.S. Did you know today is 'Talk Like A Pirate Day'? I thought it was later in the year, but it's not. Sadly, I missed most of it. SO.... I declare September 20th "Talk Like An Aussie" day. Tell me if you do it!

Comment Blitz Up-date:

Way to go, troops! As of 17:50 hours MCT, there are thirty-seven comments asking for a post! As I shall be busy moving our base camp tomorrow, as I have been for the past two days, I am now extending the time slot reserved for this desperate attempt to Sunday at 19:30 hours MCT. By that time, we may have a response from Avalon.
Several of you expressed worries at commenting on an unknown blog. I know Avalon personally, and don't think she'll mind, and I think she knows that I know most of you. And if she doesn't: "Avalon, I know most of these people personally, and the ones I don't know commented at my request. I know you won't mind..."

Continue on, fellow bloggers, and perchance we shall make it to one hundred comments before the time is up!

Alright, Troops, Let's Rally Together!

Operation Post-It Evil Scheme #355,653,548

Objective: to fill HMS Avalon's latest blog post titled "I Was Tagged" (found at Creative Writings and Random Subjects, www.competitorforchrist.blogspot.com) with at least one hundred (100) comments. Doing so within forty-eight hours of the present time (19:20 hours Military Central Time).

Method of Operations (M.O.):

Phase 1: As soon as an blogging operative reads this document, he/she, if they comply with all rules and directions, must comment on this blog post ("Alright, Troops, Let's Rally Together" For Lack of a Better Title..., www.quirkykiwifruit.blogspot.com), saying that you will join in this Evil Scheme. After doing so, wait until 19:30 hours on 9-10-08, MCT. At that time, commence Phase 2.

Phase 2: Post three to five (3-5) comments on HMS Avalon's blog, requesting immediate updates. After a minimum of five (5) hours, prepare for Phase 3.

Phase 3: Continue posting comments regularly, requesting and ordering further updates. If all else fails, we must resort to begging and pleading for a new post. We must try for more than one hundred comments.

Phase 4: As soon as HMS Avalon posts again, comment with 'thank you's. End Operation Post-It, Evil Scheme 355,653,548

Remember, the success of this mission lies at your fingertips!
~Kommander Kiwifruit

P.S. In other words, if y'all don't want to do it officially, you can just comment multiple times, requesting, ordering, and finally begging and pleading for a new post. But my goal is for us to get it over fifty comments.
